Acquired: Confirmed: the original National ASG Security was acquired by Apollo Global Management (alongside Protection 1) on July 1, 2015 for $509M, then folded into ADT when ADT merged with Protection 1 in May 2016 (per ADT/Protection 1 press release). However, asg-security.com is live and actively operating today as a separate, present-day home security/automation dealer serving the Greater Los Angeles Area (and claims presence in ~9 states), reselling Alarm.com/Honeywell/2GIG hardware under the "ASG Security" brand name with its own packages, equipment page, and monitoring (via AvantGuard). It is unclear whether this current entity is legally continuous with the pre-2015 National ASG or a newer company reusing the name — its own site's "75 years" claim is inconsistently worded (homepage attributes it to "monitoring and equipment companies" partners, but the About Us page attributes it to ASG itself), so no founding year could be confirmed.
